Meeting Between the Ambassador of Iran in Thailand and the Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity

His excellency Dr. Nassereddin Heidari, the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Thailand, met with Dr. Masanori Kondo, the Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), on June 10, 2026.

During this meeting, both sides emphasized deepening technical cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity, and held discussions regarding the organization's work program concerning the election of the Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General. The Islamic Republic of Iran has nominated a candidate from the Ministry of Communications for the post of Deputy Secretary-General and is seeking to garner support from the Member States of APT.
